Stunning solid 14k gold Victorian era beaded multi-strand choker necklace! This exquisite treasure is a one of a kind antique piece featuring five strands of graduated, heavy weight (but hollow) solid 14k gold beads. The strands are separated by natural seed pearl embellished spacer bars, and the necklace closes with a unique locking bar pin clasp. The beads are solid 14k gold, however they have been electroplated over in a higher karat gold (probably 24K or 22K) to enhance their color. The 14K gold at the base has a slightly pinker hue - which is very subtle, but most evident on the spacer bars. Total weight of 55.8 grams! Not marked for purity or signed, however it was professionally acid and X-Ray tested, and we can guarantee that the entire piece is made from solid 14kt gold, if not slightly higher (see x-ray photo). As far as condition, it appears that the necklace was restrung at some point on a strong braided cord. That said, it is missing the bottom strand of beads. The piece is still quite wearable "as is"due to the nature of the design, but you could have it restored if you wanted to. Additionally, there are several small dents in a few of the beads, but these are only noticeable upon close inspection. Sold here "as is" with the price reduced to compensate; as potential repairs are being left to the buyers discretion.

Garment measurements are taken with the item hanging, and the material pulled taut but not over stretched. If a range is given for a measurement (~18-20" for example) it indicates that the material either has some flexibility, or that a specific point from which to measure can not be defined (for example at the hips).
